Scottish Oil Part 3

Whose oil is it?

That first barrel of Scottish Oil came ashore in 3rd November 1975.

Tony Benn— the former Energy minister — tries to argue that Scottish oil is owned by a government based in England.  Although he puts up a fairly good arguement he is unable to explain why so much of the money was spent on improving services in and around London which was not going to benifit the country of Scotland.

Scotland is not not running out of oil as technology improves our oil companies are improving their abilities to drill deeper in more difficult circumstances and extract more than ever.

In this next video independent oil technologist experts discuss the long term future of the oil fields off the Scottish cost line.

But life goes on and so does the debate about the future of the Scottish oil wells. But again the independent are discussing how Scotland needs more investment to make it easier to capitalise on the oil revenues. So not only is the Scottish oil money being spent primarily in England the investment needed to make the oil industry better is not being made to make the future of the whole oil industry in Scotland secure.

Well there we are. What do you think? Should Scotland have a larger share of the oil revenues than it getting now?

I want Scotland to run her own affairs and be represented on the world stage by people who actually care about Scotland.Time and time again Westminster proves that it does not represent the best way forward for Scotland. The oil is just an added benefit – not a reason to become Independent. IMO the majority of Scots have just been too scared to vote for Independence-but with us now seeing all the lies that have been spread about Scotland by Westminster the people will hopefully? do the right thing.
