He was my 6th Great grandfather, and I am VERY proud to know of this ancestry. He also was a fighter for the freedom of his familyand his nation just as many have fought, bled, and died for the freedom of this United states. Because I am proud of my ancestors,and proud of this earthly bloodline that I have, I have traced my lineage back to my 9th g-grandfather in Perth, Scotland, to the year 1622. I did do the Clan Donald DNA Project, and by golly my ancestors are MacDonald of Clan Donald. I am not Scot by birth, but I am at heart; and no-one, and I mean no-one, can take that away from me. Kris and others like him can rant and rave about wannabe Scots, but all that is is uncalled for vitriol, and he can keep it to himself. Whisky (mostly supplied from Jura) was doled out in great quantities before any assault and the demented and drunken soldiers didnt really care who shot them. But it does appear that Campbell also hiked the rent at the same time. The family still own the original cottage on Jura. And one can only applaud that James Ferguson got out of the whisky business before the prohibition forced him to - like so many others. We actually welcome American Tourists so you are relatively safe Although a couple of people are not so keen on this Donald Trump guy (but he has Scottish Heritage so we should at least listen to him). His plan to build a new golf course outside Aberdeen has had a very mixed reception. A number of people are objecting to it because it is on conservation land or it is too close to where they live (nimbys who would object to anything and everyhing).
